The Philadelphia General Hospital photo album contains photos of patients of Philadelphia General Hospital from 1922 to 1924. This collection was discovered during a survey in the summer and fall of 2015.

Scope and Contents

The City of Philadelphia, which holds archival materials from Philadelphia General Hospital, donated this collection of nearly 1,200 photographs to the College in 1978. The collection includes photographs of the buildings, physicians, residents, and patients.

Abstract In September 1883, the Board of Guardians of Philadelphia General Hospital decided to establish a training school for nurses.
