Biographical / Historical

Perley Newel Barker, Troy, Pa., physician was born in 1856. He received an M.D. from the MedicoChirurgical College of Philadelphia, 1887; by 1890, he was practicing in Troy. Barker specialized in otorhinolaryngology. He was a medical examiner for the Mutual Life Insurance Company of New York, the Northwestern Mutual Life Association, and the Western Mutual Life Insurance Company. Barker died of chronic endocarditis on 4 Apr. 1934.
