Ledgers (account books)

Volume contains accounts of Haynes’ medical practice in various towns of Vermont in Orleans, Washington, and Caledonia counties.

Ledger, 1827-1832, with occasional entries and settlements of accounts to 1838, of physicians Gideon Leeds and James C. Fitch, in partnership in Warren County, N.J. Includes accounts with towns of Oxford, Knoulton, and Har[d]wick. Index to account names included. Pages 118 and 119 contain running summary accounts for partners, and first and last five pages of volume contain daybook accounts, 1827-1829.

Contents: Daily journal dated 1861; notes on certain cases occurring in the Pennsylvania Hospital, dated July 8th, 1858; ledger and field notes dated 1864

The collection contains three ledgers, 1888-1902, documenting the Hanover County medical practice of Hermann B. Anderson. The ledgers list patients, reason for visit, and settlement of account. An index to account names is included in each volume. Two of the ledgers contain farm accounts for the years 1889-1890 and 1897-1901, and one contains a separate section for "Negro accounts", 1895.

Daybook of I. L. Alden’s medical practice in Androscoggin, Franklin, and Oxford counties, Me., 22 June 18769 Sept. 1877. Daybook lists income accounts chronologically with patient’s name, date, charge, and brief explanation. Includes accounts with towns of Jay and East Livermore and extensive notes on case of paracentesis thoracis, 1877.

Ledger documenting medical practice of J. F. Miles in Hinesburgh, Vt., 1848-1860. Includes accounts with Town of Hinesburgh and payment of medical fees with goods and services.
