This small collection of Samuel Jackson material contains letters
written and received by him, a case history, two bills, and
a recipe, 1835-1864. Most of the letters received and the case history concern descriptions
and treatments of epileptics by physicians, generally alumni
of the University of Pennsylvania who were practicing in the

This small collection consists of letters received by Samuel Stehman
Haldeman from various correspondents, including C. B. Adams,
Joseph Leidy, Josiah Clark Nott, and Noah Webster. The letters
concern matters of linguistics and natural history.
One item of particular interest in the collection is Joseph Leidy's
description of a new genus of crustacean.

Abstract
Samuel X Radbill (1901-1987) began his medical career as a general practitioner in 1926 and became a pediatrician in 1938, when he was certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. Radbill was perhaps better known as a medical historian, and collector of bookplates and old and rare medical texts than as a pediatrician. He believed that the study of medicine’s past was useful to its practice, and he encouraged many of his professional colleagues to examine the history of their specialties....

Saul Jarcho papers

The collection contains Saul Jarcho's files on three paleopathology
projects, 1961-1975. Series 1 contains four folders of correspondence,
1966-1968, concerning the formation of the International Paleopathology
Association. The bulk of this correspondence is between Jarcho
and Abner Irving Weisman, who founded the Association in 1966.
