Gibbon family papers
This bulk of this small collection of personal material from members of the Gibbon family of Philadelphia, 1901-1929, is comprised of letters of Marjorie Young Gibbon and surgeon John H. Gibbon concerning their engagement, daughter Marjorie, and Gibbon's 1905 transatlantic voyages. The collection also includes letters of the young John Heysham Gibbon, physician and inventor of the heart lung machine.

Includes accounts with towns of Oxford, Knoulton, and Har[d]wick. Index to account names included. Pages 118 and 119 contain running summary accounts for partners, and first and last five pages of volume contain daybook accounts, 1827-1829.

Chronological record of G. D. Peck’s medical practice in Milford, Mass., 1832 Oct. 24-1834 Mar. 31. Entries list name of patient, reason for visit, fee charged, and ledger account number. Several patent medicines prescribed. Monthly summary accounts for 1832 and 1833 included. Also includes recipes and notes, including a reference, dated 1833 Jan. 1, to taking E. W. Carpenter as a medical student.
Gustavus Ferdinand Theel correspondence
The professional correspondence of Dr. Gustavus Ferdinand Theel comprises the Gustavus Ferdinand Theel correspondence collection. Dr. Theel worked as a physician in the Philadelphia area for 52 years. Included are letters to and from Dr. Theel regarding various medicine regimes, payment, and questions about courses of treatment. This collection was discovered during a survey in the summer and fall of 2015.

H. Chester Parry lecture and matriculation tickets
This small collection documents H. Chester Parry's medical education at the University of Pennsylvania, 1859-1861. The collection contains Parry's matriculation card, lecture and clinic admission cards, an examination schedule, and a letter certifying his passage of his examinations. Faculty members whose lectures Parry attended are: Joseph Carson, Hugh L. Hodge, Samuel Jackson, Joseph Leidy, R. E. Rogers, Henry H. Smith, and George B. Wood.
