Abstract

Andrew Newman Typescript is a typescript of “From a Surgeon’s Viewpoint: Philadelphia Shriners Hospital 1925-1995.” Written by Dr. Andrew Newman, a Philadelphia-area doctor, the typescript serves as a brief history of the Shriners Hospital in Philadelphia in response to the hospital’s relocation to North Broad Street and the demolition of the original hospital building. Includes photocopies of curriculum vitaes, ALS, photographic prints, and patient records. This collection was discovered during a survey in the summer and fall of 2015.
