Abstract
The College of Physicians Early Records document some of the College of Physicians' earliest activities, including attempts by Fellows to diagnose and treat the 1793 yellow fever epidemic in Philadelphia. The collection, which was discovered by chance in 2001 by College foreman Leroy Green, contains letters, manuscripts, and committee reports. Scope and Contents
Volume of Parke’s notes, 1767, on Pierre Joseph Macquer’s Elements of the theory and practice of chymistry (1764), considering elements and their interactions; Geoffroy’s table of comparative affinities; and metals and their ores. Volume also includes Parke’s notes of examination questions on anatomy and chemistry given to graduates of the College of Philadelphia’s Medical School in 1769. Examiners include Adam Kuhn, John Morgan, and William Shippen.
